When you sign the direct debit authorisation, your membership fee for the current calendar year will be debited within two weeks. However, you are already insured by Alpenverein from midnight. Full membership is effective when the membership fee has been received by Alpenverein.

You are entitled to have the membership fee reclaimed by your bank within 56 calendar days of your account being debited without giving any reasons. When you sign your direct debit authorisation, your annual membership fee (until you cancel) will be debited each year in early January.

Membership is entered into indefinitely and can be cancelled as of 31 December of every year with two months’ notice - i.e. by 31 October.

Collection orders can be completed from the entire SEPA payment area with the exception of Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary .
